Applying for a Ted DeLaney Youth Opportunity Grant

Thanks to generous donations from local institutional and individual sponsors, the Rockbridge NAACP is proud to offer financial assistance under its Ted DeLaney Youth Opportunity Grant program. The goal of the program is to promote racial equality and equal educational opportunities for our community members in need.

Grant amounts between $50 and $500 will cover costs of education-related initiatives, projects, or instruction.

The Ted Delaney Youth Opportunity Grant is open to residents of Rockbridge County, Lexington and Buena Vista, between the ages of 9-21 years old.

Girls, women, and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Examples of education-related initiatives, projects, or instruction:

  • After-school program registration fee.
  • Job training program costs.
  • Summer program fees,
  • Educational field trips, etc.

Applications will be accepted at any time throughout the year and reviewed on a rolling basis.  You may may complete and submit the online application below….
